Nobody knows how Galactic Groove made their sound, or who they were. The stage was filled with black boxes and wires. Engineer musicians were in welder's masks. Humming electricity would be manipulated into white noise that would briefly erupt to a beat. It was electronic music before anyone else knew how to control electricity. Later, companies like ARP and EMS would retail synthesizers the world over. I heard a story, never verified, that ARP's founder Alan Pearlman was backpacking through Munich and Galactic Groove inspired his invention. Other's say that Pearlman was on stage as one of the Groovers. There was also a Berlin commune that claimed the welders masks covered Alien faces. This much is true - Galactic Groove were never seen without their masks, so no theory is disproven.
